Calgary Polo Club

The Calgary Polo Club is the crown jewel of Canadian polo, established in 1890 and nestled in the heart of Alberta's rolling foothills southwest of Calgary city. One of North America's oldest continuously operating polo clubs, Calgary has produced some of Canada's finest players and hosts the prestigious Calgary Polo Club High-Goal tournaments each summer, attracting Argentine and British professionals to the Alberta circuit. The club operates across an expansive property featuring multiple well-maintained grass fields, outstanding stabling facilities, and a welcoming clubhouse with panoramic views of the Rocky Mountain foothills. The summer season runs from May through September, benefiting from Alberta's long daylight hours. The club is particularly known for its horsemanship tradition, its vibrant youth programs, and its role as the centrepiece of the Western Canadian polo circuit. Annual highlights include the Alberta Cup and charity fixtures that draw corporate sponsors and the Calgary social elite.
