Cowdray Park Polo Club

Cowdray Park Polo Club is the home of the Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup — England's most prestigious polo trophy and one of the four great high-goal tournaments that define the British polo season. Set on the magnificent 16,500-acre Cowdray Estate in West Sussex, the club's grounds are among the most beautiful in world polo, with the romantic ruins of Cowdray House providing a dramatic historical backdrop. Founded in 1910 and hosted by the Cowdray family for generations, the club operates across six grass fields and a sand arena, running a full season from April through September. Thousands of spectators attend the Gold Cup each July, making it as much a social occasion as a sporting one — the Royal Enclosure of polo, where fashion, champagne, and world-class equestrian sport combine in glorious English summer sunshine.
