Biography
Owen Rinehart is one of the United States' most accomplished polo professionals, an 8-goal player who has been a fixture of the USPA high-goal circuit for two decades and one of the best American-born players of his generation. Competing regularly in the Florida winter season — the most competitive polo circuit in the Americas outside of the Argentine Open — Rinehart has won major titles and established a reputation for powerful, intelligent play that makes him a sought-after partner for the leading patrons in American polo. His career has taken him beyond the US circuit to international competition in the UK, Argentina, and other major polo destinations, where his quality has been validated against the best opposition the world can offer. As one of the small number of American-born professionals who can genuinely compete in 22-goal polo, Rinehart represents the upper ceiling of what the US development system can produce, and his career has been both a personal achievement and an inspiration for younger American players.
