The Snow Polo World Cup St. Moritz is celebrating its 40th anniversary in January 2026 with a special edition featuring legendary players from the tournament's history alongside current stars.\n\nThe event, played on the frozen Lake St. Moritz at an altitude of 1,800 meters, has become synonymous with luxury winter sports. This anniversary edition will feature exhibition matches from past champions and an expanded social program celebrating the tournament's heritage.\n\n"Snow polo is unlike any other form of the sport," said tournament director Reto Gaudenzi. "The conditions, the setting, the atmosphere – it's magical. After 40 years, we're proud to have created something truly special."\n\nThe tournament will also debut new sustainability initiatives, including carbon offset programs and reduced single-use plastics, reflecting growing environmental consciousness in the polo world.
