About the Tournament

The Tortugas Open is one of Argentina's most prestigious Triple Crown tournaments, held each October at the Tortugas Country Club in Pilar, Buenos Aires province — approximately 45 kilometres north of the capital in the lush Pilar polo belt where many of Argentina's greatest clubs are concentrated. The Tortugas Open is the opening event of the Argentine Triple Crown (alongside the Hurlingham Open and the Argentine Open), played at 40-goal with the world's finest teams competing over six weeks. The Pilar area's polo infrastructure — multiple world-class clubs within a short radius — creates an atmosphere during October–December that is unique in world polo.
