About the Tournament

The Queensland Open is one of Australia's premier state polo championships, held at one of Queensland's magnificent polo venues in the tropical north or the subtropical southeast — typically the Toowoomba or Warwick polo clubs in the Darling Downs region, or Brisbane's Windsor Polo Club. Queensland polo benefits from the state's subtropical climate, which allows for a longer playing season than the southern states, and the Australian spring (August–November) creates ideal conditions for the Open. Queensland produces some of Australia's finest polo players and ponies, with the Darling Downs' rich grasslands providing exceptional horse-breeding pasture.
