The SMS Gold Vase is one of India's prestigious polo tournaments, held during the Indian winter polo season at the Sawai Mansingh II Polo Ground in Jaipur — the historic palace polo ground that serves as the stage for Jaipur's annual International Polo Season. Named in honour of Sawai Mansingh II, the Maharaja of Jaipur who was one of the 20th century's great polo patrons and players, the Gold Vase is steeped in the royal polo heritage that distinguishes Jaipur's polo scene from any other venue in the world.
