The Joe Barry Memorial Cup is the opening leg of the USPA Polo Gauntlet — America's most prestigious high-goal tournament series — and serves as the first major high-goal event of the Florida winter polo season at the International Polo Club Palm Beach in Wellington. Named in honour of Joe Barry, one of the great figures of American polo, the tournament carries deep historical significance and sets the competitive tone for the entire Florida season. The 26-goal tournament attracts the world's top players and patron teams, many of whom use the Barry Cup as the opening salvo in their campaign for the US Open later in the season.
