Adelaide Polo Club

Adelaide Polo Club is South Australia's premier polo venue and the hub of a polo community that draws on the state's strong equestrian heritage and its tradition of outdoor sporting culture. Located within the Adelaide metropolitan area, the club provides an accessible polo experience for South Australia's population while maintaining the competitive standards required to participate in national polo circuits. The club's grounds have hosted South Australian polo for decades, serving as the venue for the state's most significant competitive events and as the home base for a membership that includes some of the state's most committed equestrian enthusiasts. Adelaide's polo season aligns with the Australian summer, and the club's facilities allow play to continue across the season's length. Adelaide Polo Club offers a structured programme of lessons and introductory polo for new players, understanding that the sport's future depends on broadening its participation base beyond traditional equestrian families. The club's coaches have developed pathways that allow adults with no riding background to discover polo in a supportive and professionally managed environment. As South Australia's primary polo institution, the club plays an important advocacy role for the sport within the state, engaging with local business and government to maintain support for equestrian land use and facilities. The club's social calendar — combining competitive polo with the hospitality traditions of Australian country sport — makes it one of South Australia's most distinctive sporting organisations.
