Hunter Valley Polo Club

Hunter Valley Polo Club occupies one of Australia's most spectacular polo settings, nestled among the world-famous vineyards and horse studs of the Hunter Valley wine region approximately 150 kilometres north of Sydney. The club's grounds sit within a landscape of rolling hills, historic homesteads, and thoroughbred breeding operations that give Hunter Valley polo a distinctive character that blends equestrian excellence with one of Australia's premier food and wine tourism destinations. The club competes within New South Wales' polo circuit and has developed a strong identity as both a competitive venue and a destination for polo tourism, attracting visitors who combine a match day experience with the Valley's celebrated cellar doors, luxury accommodation, and restaurant culture. Weekend polo events at the Hunter Valley have become part of the region's premium leisure offering, drawing both polo enthusiasts and lifestyle visitors seeking an elegant country experience. Hunter Valley Polo Club maintains excellent facilities for its members including well-maintained grounds, stabling for members' horses, and clubhouse facilities suited to social polo days and private events. The club has established training programmes that leverage the Valley's strong equestrian community, with many members having backgrounds in thoroughbred racing and breeding that inform their approach to polo ponies. Corporate events, private polo experiences, and introductory lessons have been developed to connect the club with the Valley's extensive tourism infrastructure, making Hunter Valley Polo Club one of the most commercially innovative polo organisations in New South Wales.
