Haras de Pirque Polo Club

Haras de Pirque is one of Chile's most beautiful polo settings, a private estate and polo operation situated in the Maipo Valley — Chile's most celebrated wine-producing region — approximately 40 kilometres southeast of Santiago in the foothills of the Andes. The haras (stud farm) combines thoroughbred horse breeding with polo facilities in a classic Chilean estancia setting that represents the sport at its most elegant and authentic. The Maipo Valley backdrop — with vineyards stretching to the Andean foothills and the distant snow-capped peaks framing every vista — provides one of South America's most dramatic polo settings. Matches at Pirque have a different quality from urban polo: slower-paced in atmosphere, deeply connected to the land, and imbued with the distinctive character of Chilean wine country culture. Haras de Pirque operates as both a competitive polo venue and a destination for polo tourism, attracting visitors who combine a visit with winery experiences at the neighbouring estates of Concha y Toro, Santa Rita, and other Maipo Valley producers. The estate's accommodation and hospitality offer a complete polo retreat experience that is growing in appeal among international equestrian travellers. The breeding programme at Pirque produces polo ponies of high quality that serve both the estate's own team and the broader Chilean polo market, connecting the facility's sporting and commercial activities in a model that reflects the best South American polo estate traditions.
