La Dehesa Polo Club

La Dehesa Polo Club is Santiago's most prestigious polo venue and the primary stage for Chile's professional polo circuit, located in the affluent La Dehesa neighbourhood in the foothills of the Andes northeast of the Chilean capital. The club's grounds — with their dramatic mountain backdrop and well-maintained turf fields — provide the setting for the country's most important polo competitions and attract the strongest international teams that visit Chile. La Dehesa has established itself as the venue where Chilean polo is at its most competitive and its most visible. The club's tournaments draw professional players from Argentina, the UK, and elsewhere who come to participate in events that benefit from the proximity to Santiago's wealth and the hospitality of the club's well-connected membership. The facilities at La Dehesa reflect investment commensurate with its status as Chile's premier polo venue: multiple well-kept fields, excellent stabling, a quality clubhouse, and the organisational infrastructure necessary to host high-goal competitive events. The club's management has invested consistently in maintaining facilities to international standards. As a social institution as much as a sporting one, La Dehesa Polo Club occupies a central position in Santiago's elite leisure culture. Its matches are social occasions of considerable significance in the Chilean capital, attracting business leaders, diplomatic community members, and the country's most prominent families to events that combine competitive polo with the social rituals that have made the sport such an enduring part of South American high society.
