Hong Kong Polo Association
China
The Hong Kong Polo Association (HKPA) is the governing body and primary playing institution for polo in Hong Kong, one of Asia's most active polo communities. Operating from venues in the New Territories and with historical connections to the colonial-era Shatin polo grounds, the HKPA oversees a thriving circuit that benefits from Hong Kong's proximity to Mainland China's growing polo market and its well-developed international sporting infrastructure. The October–March season takes advantage of Hong Kong's cooler months, and the HKPA hosts international tournaments that attract players from Australia, Argentina, the UK, and across Asia. The club counts among its members many of Hong Kong's most prominent business families and international expatriate professionals, reflecting polo's deep roots in the territory's elite social culture. Lessons, chukkas, and tournament polo are all available, and the HKPA maintains relationships with clubs across Southeast Asia and the FIP.
