All Ireland Polo Club

All Ireland Polo Club, founded in 1872, holds the distinction of being Ireland's oldest polo club and one of the oldest continuously operating polo clubs in the world. Set within Phoenix Park in central Dublin — one of the largest enclosed recreational spaces in any European capital — the club benefits from a remarkable urban location that has placed polo within sight of the Irish public for over 150 years. The club's royal patronage history reflects polo's status in Victorian and Edwardian Ireland, when the Phoenix Park ground hosted games attended by British royalty and the Irish ascendancy. Today the club operates within Ireland's equestrian federation framework, hosting domestic tournaments and maintaining the traditions of Irish polo while welcoming an increasingly diverse membership drawn from Dublin's professional and business community.
