Royal Selangor Polo Club

Royal Selangor Polo Club, founded in 1902, is one of Southeast Asia's oldest and most prestigious polo institutions, operating under the patronage of the Royal Malaysian Air Force and maintaining a tradition of polo that predates Malaysian independence. Set in Kuala Lumpur's established equestrian zone, the club has been the venue for some of Malaysian polo's most significant competitive events, including the annual Sultan's Cup — one of the region's most prestigious polo trophies. The club's membership reflects both Malaysia's traditional equestrian elite and the country's growing professional and corporate polo community, and its grounds provide the primary competitive polo venue in the Klang Valley. Royal Selangor's role within the Malaysian polo calendar and its connections to the FIP Asian polo circuit make it the reference institution for polo governance and development in the country.
