Abuja Polo Club

Abuja Polo Club is the premier polo institution in Nigeria's Federal Capital Territory, serving the political, diplomatic, and business elite of Africa's most populous nation. Located in Abuja, Nigeria's purpose-built capital city, the club holds a unique position as the venue where Nigeria's top officials and polo-playing powerbrokers come together in a shared sporting passion. The club hosts prestigious tournaments throughout the Nigerian polo calendar, including events that draw patrons from across the northern states and from the Nigerian diaspora. Its grounds feature maintained polo fields suited to Abuja's climate, and the club's membership reflects the capital's cosmopolitan character — combining military officers, government ministers, diplomats, and private sector leaders united by their love of polo. Abuja Polo Club represents the centralising force of Nigerian polo, providing a meeting point for the country's diverse polo community in the heart of the nation's political capital.
