Steyn City Polo Club

Steyn City Polo Club represents South Africa's most modern and premium polo offering, integrated into the spectacular Steyn City development north of Johannesburg that has become one of Africa's most ambitious lifestyle estates. Opened in the second decade of the twenty-first century, the club brings world-class polo facilities to Gauteng province in a setting that combines the sport with the luxury residential, golf, and entertainment amenities that define the Steyn City proposition. The polo facilities at Steyn City are among Africa's finest, with premium grass fields, professional stabling, and event infrastructure capable of hosting top-quality tournaments. The club has quickly established itself as a leading venue on the South African polo calendar, attracting both domestic high-goal competition and international interest from players and patrons seeking a premium African polo experience. Its proximity to Johannesburg's international airport makes it an accessible destination for polo travellers. The aesthetic of polo at Steyn City is unambiguously contemporary luxury — a statement that polo in Africa need not be defined only by the colonial-era clubs that built the sport but can embrace a modern, aspirational identity that speaks to the new South Africa's emerging wealthy class. The club has attracted a membership that is diverse, ambitious, and enthusiastic about positioning South African polo on the global map. Steyn City Polo Club is one of the most exciting developments in African polo and a venue that will play a significant role in the sport's future on the continent.
