Biography
Grant Ganzi is one of the United States' most accomplished polo patrons and players, combining a genuine 6-goal playing ability with the vision and resources to build a world-class polo operation at Palm Beach Equestrian Center. A committed competitor from his early exposure to the sport, Ganzi did not approach polo as a casual hobby but invested in his own development as a player with the same rigour that he applied to building his business career. As a patron, Ganzi created Pilot Polo, a team that has competed seriously in the top echelons of American high-goal polo and challenged the established dynasties of the US winter circuit. His willingness to invest in quality horses, top-tier Argentine professionals, and the infrastructure of a truly competitive operation has made Pilot a respected name in USPA high-goal polo. Unlike patrons who merely finance their participation, Ganzi actively contributes on the field, holding his own in the demanding environment of 22-goal polo. Beyond his own team, Ganzi has been a significant force in the governance and promotion of polo in the United States, engaging with the USPA on matters of handicapping, tournament structure, and the development of American-born players. His career represents the ideal of the polo patron who elevates the sport rather than simply participating in it, and his Wellington-based operation has become one of the more respected establishments in the Florida polo community.
