Biography
Supavat Viravaidya is one of Thailand's foremost polo players and a central figure in the country's rapidly growing polo scene. A 5-goal professional, Viravaidya has been competing on the Thai circuit for over a decade, operating across the Bangkok and Chiang Mai polo venues that have become cornerstones of Southeast Asian polo's development. Connected to the Thailand Polo Association's governance structure, Viravaidya has been involved in organising international tournaments, attracting foreign professionals and patron teams to Thailand, and working with FIP Asia to develop the regional polo calendar. Thailand's polo growth under King Power's patronage and the investment of Bangkok's business elite has created a circuit capable of attracting high-quality international competition, and Viravaidya has been a key domestic player within that environment. He has competed internationally, playing in Australia, the UAE, and across the Asian circuit, and is regarded as one of the strongest all-round Thai polo players of his generation. His playing style combines the athleticism and quick reflexes cultivated on Thailand's fast grounds with the technical precision acquired through international competition. Alongside other prominent Thai players, Viravaidya represents a generation of Thai polo professionals who have taken the sport from a pastime of the Bangkok elite to a genuinely competitive international pursuit. He continues to be one of the most active players in Thai polo, competing regularly and contributing to coaching and development programmes for younger Thai players.
