Women's Polo Rising: Record Participation in 2025
Global women's polo sees unprecedented growth with 40% increase in registered players across major associations.

The year 2025 has been transformative for women's polo, with the FIP reporting a 40% increase in registered female players compared to 2023. This surge reflects years of dedicated effort to expand opportunities and create dedicated pathways for women in the sport.\n\nThe United States leads this growth, with the USPA's women's circuit now featuring over 50 sanctioned tournaments annually. Argentina's women's championships have seen similar expansion, with the AAP establishing a dedicated women's development fund.\n\nProminent players like Nina Clarkin, Hazel Jackson, and Mia Cambiaso are inspiring a new generation. "When I started, there were maybe two or three women's tournaments a year," Clarkin noted. "Now there's a genuine pathway from beginner to professional."\n\nThe FIP has announced plans for a Women's World Championship in 2027, which would be the largest women-only polo event in history.
