About the Tournament
The Shandur Polo Festival is one of the world's most extraordinary sporting events, played at 3,700 metres altitude on the Shandur Pass in Pakistan. Contested annually between the traditional rivals of Gilgit and Chitral using a freestyle version of polo with few rules, it draws thousands of spectators to the roof of the world.
